Hardened Lutan in bucket?

Discussion in 'Tanning' started by buckyb3, Jan 5, 2014.

  1. I have a large quantity of Lutan that has drawn moisture and hardened in the plastic bucket. Can this be softened or used for tanning? Help appreciated.

If it will dissolve yes it can be used. Try heating up a gallon of water and stir in the lutan. Weigh it first.

  3. That's what I'm asking has anyone done this before?

Happens all the time, I have never noticed a difference in the tan. If not sealed, Lutan will attract moisture and turn hard as a rock. Do as Trevor said.

  5. I will sometimes use a mashed potatoe smasher kitchen tool to aid in breaking up the clumps as well. careful not to breathe that shit in also.
