I'm in. Like Marty said, the more info the better. It would be good to see a variety of techniques and materials used including supplies that can be purchased locally as an option.

This is the way to go, Capt. Bryan! Then I won't have to come up with an excuse to go hog hunting down there. I cannot live on alligator and boiled peanuts.

Sorry for not getting back on here. I had a very serious allergic reaction and my eyes swelled shut and my lips and face blew up. It is bad!
Anyway, I'm going to shoot this video myself using a head mounted HD Go pro camera. I will also edit.
Now for the disclaimer. This will not be a studio grade recording. This will be a follow me thru my molding process close up. With plenty of tips and tricks to take your molding and casting to the next level. It will be a no holds barred account of how I mold fish.

I will walk thru each step of my process, show and Tell you where to get materials locally.
Chapters will go something like this:
    1. Prepping the specimen
    2. posing and bedding using 2 different methods.
    3. making the front half of mold
    4. 2 different methods of molding the mouth
    5. making the back half
    6. Removing fish and prepping mold for the first cast.
    7. making the first cast
    8. removing cast from mold
9 initial prep of cast to start finishing process.

Can anyone think of any other topics to include?

Like I said this will be shot in my workshop in the coming weeks.

Please leave me some input here as to what you guys are looking for.

Hope you feel better! I hope it was not boiled peanuts. Anyways, you can count on a lot of folks buying this, from the look of it. Not sure about the head camera thing. Seems like one on a tripod with an assistant might be the way to go. Maybe a rental camera? Use the best you can get. Anyways, one topic that might come up is fixing any missing scales or imperfections on the molded fish once the mold is made. Best of luck!

  15. Yep, I'm interested! Shoot in HD, I'll buy a copy to learn from even though I've never made a mold/cast. Good luck.
