First Fox

Discussion in 'Beginners' started by jimbo72, Feb 3, 2014.

  1. This is the first mount I have done. I did a life sized red fox. I have it on the form, and all sewn up. I have the face let to do. I must not of thinned it down enough. Its stiff around the lips and nose area. Can I use glycerin to soften it up or is there a oil I can purchase that is compatible with krow tann. I see there is krow oil but I need to order some other supplies and just wanted to stay with one supplier. Looking for some input and some advice. Thanks
  2. Mist over the area and bag it up till the morning.

  3. It may take some more thinning but i would follow the suggestion above and mist and bag it. It is always a good idea to keep the face wrapped up with a damp cloth during the process to keep the lips nose and eyes from drying out to much while sewing and fitting.
  4. Thanks guys. I'll give that a try. I moistened the face and got the eyes and nose set but the lips are to stiff to push up in the form. Ill try bag thing tonight.
