how many seal their skulls

    ok who seals their skulls, and with what ? who dont seal them ?

    Seal. Paraloid. Hate dirty fingerprints and dust all over specimens. Sealing properly allows you to be able to wash it off if nothing else. Also helps to keep teeth from cracking.

    seal I think it keeps them looking white paraloid is the way to go but Ive used rustoloeun in the can get the clear nonyellowing

    Paraloid mixes both with acetone as well as denatured alcohol. Acetone dries faster but probably costs more. Alcohol is cheaper but it dries slower. The end result is the same. Use the advanced search and search for paraloid in the skulls and skeletons section only.

    Depends on what you do with it and how thick your application is. You can look through my posts and see pictures of finished skulls. All are sealed with paraloid.

    Looked that up actually. It isn't the right kind. It's paraloid AT-81. The type you want for bone is paraloid B-72. Not sure what the difference is.
