marten smell

    Hi folks!!
    I did my first marten last friday( and first mustelid).. it is now drying but until it started to dry I did not noticed the " wet dog "/ musk smell from it... any clue on how to get rid of it without having to re-wet it and groom it again????
    I have a pet ferret at home and i use a conditionner on her to help with the smell... You think it would help on my mounted marten???

    I think there is a tutorial on here for washing mounts - I seem to remember seeing pics of Michael P washing an Elk with Pert?
