  2. M & M, you have the fundamentals down, at least it looks like a deer. You will see these guys & gals preach reference materials...listen to them... I learn something here on a weekly basis. I have pictures all over my walls grouped by eye, nose, ears, you get the point. If you have never seen the dvd put out by Rick Carter (I think it's Mounting a whitetail A-Z) find it and buy it, there is a lot of useful stuff in it. Since you are just starting out there are certain things you want to do right...breaking a bad habit is harder than practicing the right method. I am not saying there is ONLY one RIGHT way and if you are familiar with this site you already know that.
    The majority of these folks have more talent in their little toe than I have in my body...I can't do it as good as they can and can't do it as fast but I can do it to an above average degree. Believe in yourself, use the knowledge supplied by this site and shoot for the stars. Good luck, look forward to seeing 5th deer.

    I would like to thank everyone for the comments and advice given. I have made note of it all and plan to put it towards my next deer.
