preparateur VERY impressed at how how smooth and well groomed that bird is THOSE little guys can give you fits. When I visit Scotland I'm laways on the lookout for new species to add to my life list. What kind of songbird is that? I mounted A woodcock last week and would rather face 3 fat mallards. DManning nice swan, did one of those 2 years back thought I'd NEVER get the thing dried off. Impressive looking mount. From ALL of you a big thanks and a good variety.

    LOL

Apparently not enough freezer space is something pros and hobbyists both encounter. : )

I was able to keep my first ever swan outside in the storage shed during this below zero winter to save space. HAD to tackle it, confident about my ability or not, just before we had our brief January thaw.

That is a very, very nice result with that big bird. The neck curve is so pleasing, and the wings elegant. I would find room for that swan on my wall in a minute, and put my James Killen artwork in storage.

I don't know how long the season is in on swans ,the one gifted to me was huge ,,had a few almost completely developed pin feathers,,I lost quite a few but still turned out nice. This one looks real smooth . Very nice grooming

thanks ranger77 good looking can ,,and this closes down BOTW no.7 on to next week If I had to pick a favorite it would be tough but the snipe slash woodcock ranks WAY up there, along with the wee songbird ,so does the redhead standing mount , or how about those porcelain smooth dead mounts ,,Oh well Like I said it's tough.
