Thanks everyone for all the compliments on my otter. Had the idea of doing this mount for a while but wasn't sure about the water. After reading the post "Obsessed with huge water waves/splashes" I decided to give it a try. The ripples were modeled with clay around the otter then I made a rubber mold from the clay. I used clear casting resin for the water and added some transparent paints to the underside.
Here's my 2012 Wyoming mountain lion that I recently put together for myself.
Not only beautiful work on the cougar, but also nice composition and "flow" in the habitat and base!

Went to the PTA competition yesterday learned alot and had lots of fun.So I mounted a squirrel today and improved on what the judge told me on my previous mounts.And did better.
European pine marten with wrapped body and original skull inside.
Great work everyone !! This is a first one for me it was in the guys freezer for bout 3 years with the legs sticking out of the bag. LOL !!
