Something different- pedestal backs

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by Aqhforever, Mar 6, 2014.

  1. Here's something different I did.
First deer is a revolution relaxed sweep (flat back) second is the OTS floor ped (carved/filled to make flat)
I cut out and stained some pine plywood to match the bases (customer supplied bases.
Then since these were ranch deer I transferred photos of the actual deer with their names onto the wood.
You could easily but trail cam pics, harvest photos, names dates etc.
These deer also pivot on the bases since they will be at shows.

That's pretty cool. Did you send those backs off somewhere to be done or do you have someone local that does that? Nice job

  5. I did the backs myself.

looks awesome...whats the process if you don't mind me asking

  11. is that venere

  12. Nice job there.

  13. I can do up a tutorial if there's interest on this process. It's not the same quality as say walnut hallows wood photo. But it turns out pretty nice and a lot cheaper.
    Here's my test piece:
Some ink rubbed off since I had the pic in my pocket.
