Wing curl

    Just pulled this out of the freezer and the left wing primary's are bent . Couldn't find out the repair on the search engine so I thought I would put this out there for an answer.

  2. Rich, Those primaries should come back together fine when you wash the bird. Let it soak in warm water for a bit. Haven't forgot about you on the golden eyes. I'll be in touch. Dale

    finazducks EJ is not the only one to have two Wasco Awards

    Bent is OK it will come out in the wash. If the feathers are kinked OR chipped there isn't much you can do short of replacing or splicing a new feather in. I see two possible problem feathers in your photo

    I thought it might but wasn't sure. I've had some with a long curl over the entire primary but not the tip. I've got the head in the freezer casting my first open mouth for this bird (closed mouths are easy. I just hope this turns out just as good).
