I love the wood with this one
Looken good Mr.Matt, but then your work has a tendency to do just that.
Very nice Matt

ambosia maple matt?roostin ridge maybe?great attitude on cat
Thanks for the comments guys, no, the base was custom made by my wood guy.
Beautiful BASE , Matt !
I wish someone would burn the mold that cat comes out of. I don't like it either Dennis. This is a good example of a talented, master taxidermist wrestling with a crappy form. The head on that mannikin is just terrible.
awesome cat man as always top notch
i like the frankness of this post. I wish it happened more often. Who makes this form anyway...it must be out of the 70s era....way off...and hell, im not even close to being a master taxi
Nice Contrast of colors on that base !
Hey Dennis, a good critique I can handle, and while some of the things you mentioned might be close, but don't come on here can talk about the SALT of a taxidermist! I do my best to produce a high quality mount, and EVERYTHING I produce will have issues as I am not perfect! For you to come on here and try and tear someone down shows me the SALT of you! I guess maybe all I do is sew hides up on bad forms.
This thread is pretty painful. Matt is a great taxidermist. I think we've all had that hide or form that we just struggled with. The one nothing seemed to go together right. While the cat isn't perfect, It's a lot nicer than 90% of the stuff out there and I'm sure the customer will be happy. I think things could have been said a little kinder. I don't like rose blowing either (hence the reason I didn't comment right away on the thread) but there's a fine line between the truth, and rudeness.
