First Duck

Looks good needs grooming I think. Someone correct me but don't the feet look dry and unnaturally posed

 

Needs to be thoroughly washed and blown completely dry before mounting, and then needs grooming after it is mounted up. The eye shape and depth does not look right. The feet do not look they are being carried in a correct position. Reference pictures will help with everything.

 

The feet to me look like they are on the wrong side, did you take the feet off? that is what i think is making the feet look off

 

Tuck in the ''elbows'' ,,Spread the primaries a wee bit ,Goldeneyes have smaller pupils,, The neck needs to have a gentle S curve in it ,not quite so straight,, For a level flight mount NOT one committed or landing in the decoys the feet would not be trailing like that but tucked in tightly to the abdomen.Diver ducks use those big feet for ''airbrakes'' to help slow down their fast approach. Then land almost standing on their tail.plus the small rear toe does look like its on the outside edge of the mount. Imagine your thumb with palms down hind toe faces or is placed inward.

Red line represents the neck wire.

Bend the neck wire down into the opening of the clavicle (wishbone area).

Bend is just approximate, but gives you the idea.
