I rarely cut myself anymore on my flesher but I keep a box of corn starch nearby to stick my finger in and put on a new glove to go back to work before that sucker starts burning. I tried a styptic stick to stop the bleeding but those suckers will cause you to loose your religion. Might as well put salt on it.

Was working on a blower motor yesturday and my finger slid through the cage and got caught in the fan blades. Cut bone clean through. Should be fun for the next several weeks.

I had a buddy do the very same thing last year but he wasn't so lucky, lost the first 3 fingers on his right hand :(

  5. I did something stupid on Saturday. I was out turkey hunting with my wife. Super windy here. I was trying to set up my popup tent. I usually just pull the ropes on the hubs from the outside. I got a couple set that way and then the wind was blowing the tent around. So I got on the inside of the tent and went to push one of the hubs out. Well that didn't work out so well. My index finger and thumb got caught up in the rods and hub and took a big chunk of meat out of each. Bled like crazy. The worst thing is the missing chunk on my thumb is right where the striker for my slate call rests.
