Major New Mexico.....Not much different than the old one

Took a little trip to south Texas and let my bride shoot a nilgai. These things are the wildest critters I've ever seen!! And probably the best game meat around. They are a huge bodied animal weighing around the 700 pound mark. I was really proud of her. She shot this one at 250 yards bedded. Flopped it with one shot.

Sure nice to get a little break from the shop and kids for a couple days. Stopped in at Jetz taxidermy and picked up a few forms on the way back.

Just thought I'd share..... Have a great week!

I couldn't believe how tough they were. Definitely a spot and stalk hunt! Like, from a long ways spot and stalk!! Lots of Ticks and Chiggers though. Little different experience for this desert boy!
