Great save and just a great thread all the way around. This has got to be one of my favorite threads I've seen in a long time.

After seeing the injustice done to that doe I cannot wait to see the new mount once it's finished!

  3. Thanks guys, Doe is pretty much dried now and she turned out great. Will do my finish work on her this weekend and send her home next Tuesday. Will post finish picture Sunday or Monday. Gary

Not sure if missed something or what but how did you (TaterTots) end up taking the deer to a NC taxidermist if you are in Wisconsin. No big deal just curious. Way to go Gary!!! Nice job/Nice save.

Well, she gets a bad job from one guy and ships it off to another after one conversation. What would you call it?

I didn't read the whole thing, but I know that Gary is a stand up guy! I haven't been on here in a couple of years, but when I was, he was very kind and helpful. I'm sure he will do a great job. No worries!

  14. Needs to be rehydrated striped and re mounted .... terrible. You deserve a refund.

I agree, however, he's not giving it up voluntarily. I have to take him to court and hope the judge can tell the difference between the roadkill replica "hacksidermy" job J.Frisella did and the proper job that had to be done to fix it.
It is not going to be easy, and I realize I probably won't win & even if I do, he'll never pay up. I can't even get my hunting license or paperwork back from this guy (in my state, it's required to accompany the venison in my freezer).

Now you went and did it! I'm going out and firing up the grill. The neighbors hate when I grill at midnight. I hear them slamming their windows. I dump some italian dressing on the burner just for them.

Lol! Enjoy! Your neighbors don't know what they're missing!
I don't really have any neighbors out in the sticks, here. :D

Have you reported this hack to the WI DNR yet? I would be surprised if this jerk is properly licensed and conducting his business by the book. If he lost your tag, then likely he is not conducting his business as per state laws in many other ways too. Contacting the DNR will only take a few minutes of your time and may result in saving a lot of other people from the same frustration and anguish that you have received.
