Had a box of Critter clay on the shelf and something must have poked a hole in the bag and it has hardened the clay up.I was going to clay the eyes and than mount and i don't have the time to wait.Is there a way to soften the clay up quickly besides just putting water in the bag and waiting for it to soften.Did a search but didn't find much. Thanks in advance!

That sucks, can you knead it at all? If so spray with water and go to it. If not, I'm not sure you can do it in a hurry. Wetting it and freeze it works but not in a hurry.

Cut/break off what you need for today, put it in a ziplock , spritz it with water, microwave for a few seconds. Kneed it spritz it and nuke it again.

You can also use Georges method of grating it with a cheese grater and wetting and kneading.

Try a hammer, turn it to power, add water
