Mix breeds

  1. I thought I'd post these images of my supposed (not tested) GSD+coyote skull.

    And this beautiful gal:

    Her mother came back home one day tied with a coyote. And she was the result. They got lucky. The sticky note and photos are from 2004 when I asked a deaf guy to describe his dog for me (after learning she was part coyote) so I could draw her.

    Here are coyote on the left, GSD-coyote (supposedly, not tested) in the middle, and GSD on the right:

    The mix-skull came from a seller on here I think. He said it was a HUGE coyote that looked to be part shepherd.
    The GSD skull is 10.5, the coyote skull is 8.5. The mix skull is some where inbetween (haven't measured it yet).

    GSD = german shepherd.

    Very interesting. Neat dog. I have never heard of coyotes interbreeding like this, but then I haven't really researched it either. I live rural and have female retrievers. I have not seen any more interest by coyotes when my girls are in heat. The neighbor dogs go crazy, but never the coyotes! Would make for some interesting pups.
