Lizardfeathers Thank you for teaching me through your works...

Sorry to hear Cheri. I'm sure he had the best life any dog could dream of having. I had an Australian Shepard pass away from lymphoma a few years ago and it sure was hard. Our family decided that we wanted to wait a while before we looked for another dog. Things didn't go as planed and we brought home Abby from the shelter two weeks later...

Our prayers and support with you and your family...

I'm so sorry for your loss Cheri. I miss my cat Sandy every day, she died from lung cancer a few months ago.

    Cheri,
I feel so sad about your pup.
I was thinking about Gus when I was mounting a bird earlier today.
    Take care.
    Your friend,
    Dan

Im very sorry for your loss, I raise and hunt labs , we have 14 adults of our own and 2 puppies that we are keeping from 2 of the litters we have now.
I lost the best lab I've ever had back in Oct to cancer .
Even with all the rest of our pack to keep me busy I still miss her deeply. :'(

  19. Sorry about your loss. Whenever I lose a pet or hear of someone losing a close pet I always find myself searching for this poem to read.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

  20. So sorry to hear. It hurts so much to lose our four-legged family members! I was going to post "The Rainbow Bridge" until I saw someone else had already done so. I hope there is a Rainbow Bridge! :'(
