Prayer Request

On 6/22 my brother Pastor Brandon Bellomo and his wife Karin welcomed their 2nd child and first boy into this world Silas Robert Bellomo a week early. Shortly after little Silas had low oxygen levels and they were transported to a higher level hospital where they have been since. They have ran tests and have not came up with anything definitive other than he has an infection that is effecting his respiratory system. They are currently treating him with antibiotics and O2 and have him in a sterile incubator. He is not on a respirator but does need O2 to keep his oxygen levels up and they say they may have to do a spinal tap (not sure if for testing or treatment). They said he will not be able to leave the hospital until 3 factors are met- he can breathe on his own, eat on his own, and antibiotics have successfully ran their course. If all goes well that could be at least a week or two. My brother says his little cries remind them of a baby kitten.
Karin is healing up well and regaining her strength. Their little 2 year old daughter Hosanna Grace has not yet got to meet her little brother as they are not allowing any visitors, flowers, ext.. at this time. Here is a pic of them shortly after little Silas was born.

Here is an update. They did do a spinal tap last night for testing purposes. No news on results yet but their main concern with the test is to find if the infection made it to the brain which would change how they are doing the antibiotics quite a bit. As far as how he is doing they said he seems to be gaining at least a little strength compared to how he was before and is breathing a little better.

Here is an update on little Silas. Continued prayers couldn't hurt, and of course prayers of thanks are also in order.
He is off oxygen and breathing on his own, out of the incubator, regulating his own body temp, and the best news is his spinal culture has shown no growth so infection did not reach to his brain. He has to stay in the hospital until the antibiotics are done, and should be able to go home Wednesday!!! Thank you so much for the prayers and thank you Lord for answered prayers!!!
