Went for an evening hunt in the field. Pretty slow but managed to shoot a few mallards and had this little guy come into the spread. Not normal for the location. Gonna have to put him on my wall. Haven't shot one this Nice in a long time.

Went just a little west of brownwood, tx.....To see some friends and knock a few off the 410 list.

Got the layouts set and got after it.

Finished this set with a nice skunk head

Moved to another cove to shoot some non sea ducks. Passed some pins and mallards and got ahem greater scaup and goldeneye. Both going into collections.

Finished up our ducks season with a limit of bills due to Gail winds and not able to get out to the other ducks. Managed to scratch a few ruddys and a mergig too. Should start freezing to chase some geese. Then Obregon in February.

Very nice birds all around. I had to go back and re-read brazos' post, I thought he got those in Brownwood, then I got the joke...

Men, you should be very happy, such a luck to get so many beautiful birds and to have such a good hunting.
Adam, I will come over to get all the drake spoonies, I love them and
Todd, all birds are fantastic but congratulations for your Euro wigeon and the hybrid, I wonder if it is a greenwing/gadwall ?

The hybrid is a gadwall x shoveler. It came from a good friends aviary. He had 3 -2 year olds and He has one more for sale at $250.

He will have 3 next year.

Man, I see you guys killing those prime birds and such a nice variety and realize I wasted my youth hunting Ohio! Like so many others I have to pay and travel to get anything that nice. Then I see the pintails and it just blows my mind! I am just glad I get to mount some of those beauties every year for people who do get them. Love looking at all the pictures and all the great reference material too!

Killed a few nicer Blue Wingers down on Okachobee.

Nice crappies Todd, has been to cold in Minnesota to get one when I have been there.
Went out yesterday afternoon to do some jump-shooting. Got a bunch of tufted ducks but no good plumage and this lady here, that I am very happy with.
