Ross goose HELP!!!!

Discussion in 'Bird Taxidermy' started by rvandonsler, Sep 24, 2014.

  1. I am currently working on a Ross goose and I read on here to use winks to get the stains out of the feathers. I tried that and now the feathers look like an off yellow tint to it like it's been in a bar for years! Any suggestions on how to make them Snow White again or do you think they will whiten up when the feathers are dry!! Please Help!!

    Thanks,
    Ryan

When wet most white feathers will show a yellow tint. As they dry they will turn WHITE as long as their is no stain left. I should have taken pictures of the before (yellowish) and the after (WHITE) of some snows I just did since this questions comes up a few times a year. Don't worry, you will be just fine.

I had the same thing happen and panicked. When you dry it they will whiten right back up. The one I did it really yellowed in the wings and scaps
