The Month in Fish Pictures" ~Year 6~ November Addition 2014!!!!!!!

Happy November 1st from Boston Massachusetts!!! I hope you’re spending time in the woods this month if you live in North America and get ready for a our USA holiday where we give thanks for all we have known as Thanksgiving! It is a pretty special month here filled with lot of opportunity to see nature and to spend time with family!

Again want to commend all of you, as there are so many original contributors and many new ones alike that all share in this great string that has been around from over 5 years! I just want to remind and assure folks that we all begin some where and work hard at being the best we can all be as taxidermists. It is and always has been a spot on the taxidermy.net where folks can and do come to show there work with out criticism and hard comments! So lets remember to always keep it that way. As the moderator of this section I do not get to involved with censorship not do I ever want too. So be respectful of all and remember we all have a long way to go and should be enjoying the processes!

What a truly outstanding Month in October for Fish pictures and friends sharing their gifts and talents! I took some time during the day week to see all the great looking at some truly inspiring works of fish art!

We share in fish pictures to find a common place with friendliness and positive comments of motivation as a great place to start in upward in direction of inspiration in being a fish taxidermist! I wish all the best to folks competing in the up coming year and I do wish all the very best in the pursuits of good fish work!

I do hope you have the opportunity to be thankful for your gifts of great passion and talent as an artist! It is a blessing to me for our lives to be joined from time to time to share and learn from one another so thank you for your great taxidermy work and my your lives continue to be blessed with inspiration!!!!

I want to personally say thank you for letting me join you again each installment of Fish Pictures to share in your successes and accomplishments! I have seen first hand the great strides so many have made with beautiful fish work! Good for you and congratulations on your hard work!!!!

I want to also thank all of the great contributors who not only share their personal great talents and work but also rather give such positive inspiration to all of us!

From beginner's to the best in the world we all join in every month in a critique free and hassle free string with nothing more then great artist and inspiring fish taxidermist and carves get together to share with one another their praise and inspiration of good will and friendship to one another. No egos just friendly folks who appreciate the efforts of others!

I thought it would be different and fun to share a few photos of fish work in progress. We all have the opportunity to share work in progress so maybe a few photos of your work in progress this month might just be fun!

I want to share a fellow who inspires so many and has been a pillar of our taxidermy community for over 60 years. My friend and one of the biggest reasons I’m here in this industry today is none other then Richard Christoforo. Richard once said to me he would love to be on the beginning of the the month in fish pictures, so in honor of his wish I want to start the month with a great photo of Richard and his fish! Richard is recovering from Open heart surgery and I hope give a shout out to Richard and wish him a speedy and a restful recovery!

Please enjoy the month of November and the inspiring fish photos supplies by all the great fishheads from all over the world! Have a great month!

    So here goes!

I hope you enjoy the Month! See you in December!!!

So here we go and here is to a great November and a great Month in fish pictures!!!! Enjoy!

    You're Friend

Hope to see you soon in my travels and be good to one another!

Best wishes and God speed to Richard.....true friends are a very special gift.....

    Beautiful piece of work!!

Not exactly a fish in process but here's a pic of the World Record smallmouth bass from Dale Hollow res. in TN. that I had the honor of
restoring in 1985. The owner wanted the "original look" kept to the fish and just the damage repaired
along with some cleaning and repainting.

Whether its taxidermy or replidermy, or fish painting, or carving, I'm glad there is a place to enjoy everyone's trade craft..

Nice work all. I'm glad to see a pile of finished work from you Outdoorzman. Really like those mirror like sea murals and the dragonfly in addition to the fish (nice to see the irridecent green streak on the Musky). Looking at your work, and Jimmy's, it amazes me how good commercial and wholesale fish work has become.

Always like to see your skin mounts Doug, especially musky. Sarmite, it's incredible what you tackle in skin mount fish.

    Best all,
    Scott

  10. Sorry guys, I guess I'm not supposed to show any photos of my work that are commercial contracts... oops. I have to edit photos. Oops, I just keep mis-stepping. Here's a few fish at home.

  13. Some nice fish so far. This Brown is the end result of a recently finished makeova job . Its a skin mount with a cast head , about a 12 lb fish . Was done originally in 2001 , which aint that long ago I guess. It was cracked at top of head where joins the body, tail needed replacing , several fins had to be cut off n re set , the eye was replaced, teeth inserted and needed a paint job . Oh n it needed a wooden block in the back , grease cut out n fixing to board properly. It "pimped" up ok , would like to send a "before" pic but cant do 2 on same post. ;)
