Ky bruiser mounted up...

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by DogSoldierChick, Nov 27, 2014.

  1. This is the deer my father in law killed earlier in the year. It's probably around my 25th deer. It has been finished out since these pics and I will get some good pics posted up soon. Just wanted to share.... Hopefully I'm growing and improving as a taxidermist. I worked hard on this one. It's on a OTS semiupright with their ear butts and earliners. Comments welcomed....

Awesome job on the detailing! How do u like the OTS forms?!
  7. Awesome! Everything fell in place perfect! I didn't card or strip any of the detailing except the armpits. I just kept rubbing it in place. Ill be using them alot if they have what I need. I hope they start making more poses and sizes soon!

looks great! just remove that blood on the antlers
  19. Museum man he would kill me if I cleaned his antlers. It shed its velvet the day before. He wanted them just like they were when he killed it but we hadnt decided on how to go about it so for now they are what was left. On a side note I rarely do anything to the horns except clean off blood from the kill.

That has to be the best deer mount you have done to date, very smooth and clean mount. Don't ruin it by painting that great rack, I know the story but I am like museum man clean them up. He can be mad at for a short time but when he realizes what a great job you did for him he will forget the red. Very nice.
