research mannikins eazy water problems

I recently ordered research mannikins eazy water. My result was a piece full of tiny bubbles. It works for my base because I am doing a frozen habitat, but I was hoping for something clearer. I started it in the oven at the minimum temperature of 375F and then went all the way up to maximum 450F because it seemed to be taking too long to melt. Any suggestions for a clearer piece of water next time or is this just a poor product? I'll try to post pictures at some point.
