Its been a while since I've posted anything. I had way too much work backed up from last deer season. With my new job, recently getting married, buying my first house, going through pilot training, and countless other projects, I was struggling to find enough time to get caught up on taxidermy. Now I've made the decision to stick to just doing fish. I enjoy working on fish a lot more than mammals and birds and feel that I do better work on fish. So here is the first fish I have worked on in a long time. A Lake Erie Walleye skin mount.

Nice contest fish works. My unofficial vote would go to Mike's Hog Fish.

Yes! Nice to see you back to fish Steve D. You've posted so many awesome mounts and really bring artistry to your work.

    Always super work Tim.

Snake weave, that's pretty creative and looks very nice.

If you haven't stumbled onto Mike K's Facebook page, I recommend it. I previewed these mounts earlier this week on there and was blown away. I don't think anyone has more fun doing premium work than Mike.

    Best, Scott

  13. haha. thanks Scott. I have lots of fun on the facebook page. Should spend less time there and more time working though~

Finally an exotic right from somebody's aquarium. Known as a "red terror" cichlid, most are much redder……this one had some funky colors all over.
