dont throw away broken skeletons,have fun with them....

These had a few broken bones and bullet holes with fractures...but ya cant tell.. ..have fun with the broken left overs..

 

Your going to laugh when you here how easy it is.all it is ,is rustoleum metallics in the spraycan for your base coat.theres different shades of bronze you can get.the two i used were clasic bronze and oil rubbed bronze for a more darker/fossil look and you get the american accents patina as your wash.you can get more colors with the patina for a more true bronze and go all out and be super creative as you want.spray severial coats of your base coat,wait untill completely dry then brush on patina in small areas at a time and use cloth to wipe desired look.it dries fast and if you mess up or dont like it,you can either respray that area you dont like or respray the whole skull......and i get it at orchards hardware.

 

I believe it was,i did so many at one time at one point.the damage was on the right side hide quarters.i did a total of 5 yotes and 2 grey fox of the same pose.for clients and taxidermists.go figure..lol...i was even talked out of my yote and 2 fighting groundhogs.ha..

An axis i finished today

 

With an dark oak panel.it looks reallt cool.this axis had some kind of bone issue just to the right of the left burr on top of its head..you can see the three holes...:/..

 

Yup.dosent have a clavical and is missing some ribs.thus having fun with broken left overs.the head didnt go with the body neither did the wings and i think it was missing a cervical bone or two.it was the first thing i threw together to try the patina finish on.i gave it away as an christmas tree ornament.
