I've found out you can use antifreeze to preserve plants if you run out of the other stuff. It works I tried it.

Cool, I'll have to give that a try. Does the plant stay soft or does it get dry and fragile?

  3. Glycerin will preserve the plant forever and keep it soft.

  4. I need to preserve some sagebrush myself, what method did you use? As a systemic letting the plant stem soak in the antifreeze, or as a topical spray on application?

I used soak in the antifreeze and it was green antifreeze.
