Hi, all. Just a quick question. I've got a mink to do. The closest form i get here is a little too big, i had a look in the tutorial section to see if i can find a post about altering the form. Found tonnes of stuff on how to make forms bigger but not smaller.

I have only sizes of the skin i have got now as it was skinned by the trapper i got the skin from.

Can anybody if you have a link that will help me, be so kind and share it with me. I also appologise if i posted this in the wrong section.

    Thank you,

    Ben

if its just regular yellow foam, rasp, shave ,carve it down with whatever tool you can find......if the form is too long...cut in half and take out a section, then glue back together before you do the circumferences

Cheers roonie, i was thinking of doing that. I've got a bit to do to the face aswell as the corner of the eye to the nose is half an inch too long, about an inch too long. The circumference of the belly is also about an inch too big. I'll try to get it sorted over the next week or two. Thank you very much for your reply, really appreciate it.

There are many taxidermy suppliers out there. Sounds like you need to look through more, and find a closer match. Google taxidermy supplies and go through online catalogs one by one. It can't be that far off unless it's a baby or a world record mink. Inch off on eye to nose?

No, it's half an inch too ling from corner of the eye to nose, an inch too long in the body and an ich to round. Sorry i just read my last post and i slipped up with my discription.

You'll find most mink forms are to big one way or another. Just my observations that most are way to big in the face
