I am recently just doing birds for myself and have had a few people ask me to do some for the but I'm not real sure about all the legal stuff that goes along with it. I was just wondering what the laws are here in Texas. I've looked a little online, but I trust everybody here better than my search skill. Any info will help. Thanks Curt

Check the Federal regulations, the Feds require a migratory taxidermy license if you are mounting ducks or other migratory birds for others. The license is $100 for three years I believe.

Texas parks and wildlife has a complete section on their web page.

  4. The Info from Ted and Txoutdoors are good resources, Look up what Ted sent you and on the side of the page there's a list of regions Texas is, region (2) Nm. the last I checked Tx. doesn't require any kind of State License just the Federal, fill out the Federal questioner send the fee and they will send you a permit.
