I'm making the skeleton of an Eurasian Eagle-Owl.
I'm working on the rib cage.
    Some problems:
I have 7 Ribs and 5 Sternal Ribs.
Is that possible? Or did I loose some?
And what are those 2 bones - one end has a small hole and the other and is very flat and pointed. The lost Sternum ribs? - but they don't look like it.

Some comments on the rib cage?
The first sternal rib looks to small?
    Thank you!!

There are some excellent bird guys on here that I hope will help you. Please keep posting pictures. You are so lucky to be able to work on this bird.

the loose bones are the last sternal ribs. they don't touch the sternum but they touch the previous sternal ribs instead

this means all your sternal ribs in place should move one position/main rib to the front.
you need to 'angle' your sternum more so that the coracoids come about the same height as the spine too.

check my explanation on an owl ribcage here: http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php/topic,355419.msg2403058.html#msg2403058

What Orkman-X says, and I would also recommend a different wire through the spine. At least coat it with pipe fitters tape or paint it white, you'll be happy when the skeleton is finished!

    Thank you Orkman-X and Guus!!!!
The blue wire was just for stability.

If I want him to sit on a wooden branch. What with his toes.
2 in front and 2 behind or 3 in front and 1 behind.
    I have seen both.

    Thank you!

    Next question.
I have some difficulties to find the exact place where scapula and coracoid meet.
I just can't find the right place.
Do they fit together like some other bones fit sometimes?

And the humerus does it fit in between scapula and coracoid - does it touch both?
    Thank you!
