Here are some I took before ribbons. I'll try and get some more today of the winners if I can get my critique before they close the room.

Thanks for posting those photos. I can't imagine the amount of time that must have gone into some of these mounts. Absolutely gorgeous! Maybe one day when I retire (hahahha) I will get the opportunity to attend an event like this.

I agree, thanks for taking the time to do that. I didn't take hardly any pictures! It's a battle just to see all the pieces let alone try to get pictures of em! Congrats to all the winners! As usual at the world show, there were many great pieces that didn't ribbon, due to the numerous outstanding pieces in some of the subcategories!

Many Thanks for sharing those Photos with us all! It must have been an awesome show - truly absolutely beautifull Taxidermy work! Quite a variety! I have to admit that I've always thought Taxidermists are very creative people - these photographs prove it!

    Thanks again!!!!!

It was a WONDERFUL experience! Ranier, there were 13 different countries represented!!!! There's 2 years to save up for the next one and I hope more people will attend. I think there were 560+ entries. The banquet was sold out! I am an advocate for attending State Shows, the knowledge you gain from not only the seminars but just talking to other Taxidermists is priceless. But, at a WORLD show its Information OVERLOAD!!! I got writers cramp from taking notes. I was judged by a World class judge AND then I followed 3 others to hear them critique others ( after asking of course). Not to mention the fact that every "bird guy" I could find I was asking them to critique my work, and getting their contact information ( if they'd give it) for future questions, classes and problems. The entire trip cost around $1400. That's motel, registration and modest eating. That's what a 3 day class would cost with ONE instructor. I had 300 to talk to. Beginners...and even the seasoned guys who want to still learn....I implore you....save up, make plans and GO TO YOUR state, national and world shows!
