Mink ears

    When mounting an animal as small as mink or squirrels do you split the ears or inject preserve into them?

    I turn them. It's not too bad, just take your time and don't rush it.
     

  3. I don't turn them, I just card them until dry. If you want to take it to competition or do it "right" then you should absolutely learn to turn them. But for commercial or personal work, it isn't totally necessary.

    I turn them as far as I can. Use a Popsicle stick to fold the ear down over on small ears. Taking your time, most can be fully inverted.
