Hello, this may sound strange but I'm trying to cut off and preserve my beard for mounting in a glass-faced shadow box onto a Styrofoam arts and craft model head. Apologies if my questions don't exactly apply to the preservation and display of animals but I'm having a hard time finding any similar projects to plan from; the closest being taxidermy.

    1. Are there any special glues or adhesive sprays available to taxidermists to permanently hold the shape of the beard without changing its color/sheen or leaving a residue or whitish film or coating?

    2. Are there products available to preserve hair or does hair naturally last for many years?

Many thanks ahead of time for any help,
    Ray

Also keep shadow box where it does not get too hot and out of the sun, or the hair will fade.
