A friend in Washington recently inherited a bunch of taxidermy mounts from her father. Among them is a HUGE beautiful brown bear mount that comes with a unique story behind it. This 700 pounder was killed in Canada after being wounded and then hunted down for hours through rough terrain by local hunters, her father among them, back in 1972. The mount will come with an original copy of the actual published newspaper article/story showing a photo of hunters with bear, plus the same large photo also framed. She is asking $2,500.00 with local pick-up. Can ship, too, but cost will be up there and will be responsibility of the buyer. I have seen this mount in person and it's in great condition. Has many (but not all) of the original claws, and was mounted very well considering the age. Please contact me for more details. The bear is located in Southern Washington.
