Maryland- Eastern Regional Convention and Competition

The Maryland Taxidermist Association is hosting the Eastern Regional Convention and Competition August 7,8 and 9the. Our Judges this year will be:

Kent Stryker- Gameheads, Mammals, Reptiles and Fish
Dean Ursiiti- Whitetails
Kent Reedy- Birds

The show is shaping up to be one of the biggest we have had yet! We have several new awards this year, along with new challenges and a new division:

Headquarters Award for the highest scoring piece mounted on a Headquarters form.
Mounted in Alaska- This award is for the piece that tells the "best story"
Federal Waterfowl Stamp Challenge- This award is for the duck depicted on this years Federal Waterfowl Stamp, a Canvasback.

Also, we have a new Masters of Masters Category. This is open to all Master level taxidermist.

One correction to the competition rules:

Taxidermist entering the Professional Division will not be required to move up until they have earned 4 blue ribbons or 2 Best of Categories in a particular category at any State, Regional, National or World Show.
