I just received a shipment from a tannery. I used their skin freeze and ship service.
The deer cape is shaved so thin in multiple places that the hair is coming thru the hide on the skin side.
On my fox, all the hair is gone from the backs of the ears.
    Now what??!????

What's the tannery? See if they'll replace the skin, that's where I'd start...

This happened to me with some deer capes years ago even though I immediately skinned, removed the meat and fat via a fleshing wheel, and salted them. (Not the type of service you used.)

It only happened once but it was the last time I used a tannery. After that I tanned using an auto tanner. Best move I ever made.

That said fox ears are notorious for slipping regardless of care.

OK then how does one repair fox ears? And the tannery is replacing the cape, thanks for your suggestion

I think you need to get another fox. But I'm a fish geek so I defer to others.
