Thought I would get this started again this year.....Post up your success and not so successful photos . We enjoy them all!

Crane opened the first first of September and I punched my second tag this morning. I wish our season was a little later . They are always pin feathers to mount but decoying a bunch in and connecting is always a thrill.

Hope your season is a good one! Thanks, Jay

    Congrats Jay!
That looks like it would have been a fun bird to hunt.
I am in Wisconsin and we don't have a season (yet) for cranes.
Hopefully one day we will as they are numerous and the farmers don't like them in their fields.
    Thanks for sharing the photo.

I usually don't go after these until later in the season, but when you wait a year to shoot them, I couldn't resist

I spent the weekend in MT. I have always had limited luck up there but this trip the Sage Grouse were abundant. Just had to put your time in. Lot.. of family broods , only saw 1 rooster.

Hard work slogging through the mud at 100+ degrees in June/July/August will pay off in dec. 8 acres of millet ready for water.

Looking forward to these mornings to come.

Been seeing several blues. Got 4 males so far this year. Gotta hike a little to get in their area, but I can't say it's much of a burden [IMG][IMG]

I'm in TX. My neighbor has some pretty bad arse drones. He came out to do an aerial filming but the real flew too early. Check out the video.

Hard to believe it's that time of year again! Thanks everybody for sharing. Had a nice Teal hunt last week, shot almost a box of shells. Mostly Bluewings,a couple of Greenwings, and 4 or 5 eclipse Cinnamon's. One of these days I will figure out how to post a pic!

  17. That's a pretty cool vid, todd. can we look forward to some duck hunting vids like that in the coming months?

MT pheasant opened today, got in a half hour hunt before it hit 80!
Missed on the first bird but nailed the next 2. Come on cold weather. I like hunting when its -10 you can have this heat. LOL

Still pounding the dove despite 95 degrees today and record high forecast of 99 tomorrow. Only plus is it keeps them coming to water. Makes for quick easy hunts.

Made our annual trip across the big pond to meet up with friends.

10 days, a sprinter van, 5 countries. Had a blast.

This preserve releases 25,000 pheasant and chukar all year long. They do about 10 hunts/year. It's a heck of an experience.
