    skallet roseri needless to say!

How long is a salted or air dried skin good for before it's no good to tan? Anybody have issues tanning skins after a year in a half? Is a tannery able to save them?

I've had salted deer capes for over 2 years and they tanned up fine at the tannery.

  3. I bought a bantang cape that had been salted for over twenty years and sent it off and it tanned out just fine! The key to a long shelf life is a dry enviroment for storage. A salted skin will last loger than a tanned one if it is stored properly. Try keeping a salted skin in a high humidity enviroment and red mold will start growing in a short time and will ruin your skin.
