Thank you for the update , sounds like things are getting done . Good work and congrats to all involved.

 

Thank You for the most simple, honest, and sincere NTA status report I have seen in a very long time.

 

Is this a forensic audit done by the Internal Revenue Service as had been advised? Or just one through a cpa? I have recommended since July of 2013 that the NTA have a forensic audit done by the IRS.

A forensic IRS audit can go back to where the $161,000. is missing from the Lifetime secure funds.

Next would be the fact that if an audit is being done, then the Louisiana Attorneys Generals office been notified as required.

 

Well hell nothing is missing since before the 2013 divorce, that should take a whole day. Since there is already CPA records from Porterfield - Killings worth. The Former Morgan Stanley funds were solid until they were with drawn and moved this year 2015, while the MS funds did show a continual loss due to stagnation and MS is the ones that penalized the NTA.

The only way to go past 2013 Divorce is for the IRS to do a forensic audit, using all the paper work Harry got from the Louisiana attorney a year or so ago.

I have the legal papers to prove this happened before I came onto the board and will forward a copy to the Louisiana Attorneys General Criminal division.

The Porterfield/Killingsworth reports are crap. They never explained the missing 9,475.00 either.
Now look at the names listed on these entries and when this allegedly happened. July 2013. Again we have discussed this on this forum several times and look who was in charge when this was to have happened.
Names according in the Harry Whitehead are listed and Joe Public.
According to Louisianan law these are false entries as there is no way to attach these missing funds to any people who can verify they were paid.

This is exactly what I tired to bring up time and time again just to have you chicken crap on board suspend me for asking questions and bringing this to the top.

You big four are sweeping the real problems under the tables.

Now what the Louisiana Attorneys General Criminal division decides to do is up to them. I have notified them and other authorities because I think the problems is on board and things are being hid.

If there is a problem I darn sure want it brought to the top and those guilty need to be prosecuted. As I recommended several times and even in Gatlinberg a forensic IRS audit is the only way!!!

I certainly hope the Attorneys General looks into this.

I'm with Tim. Let it go! If the membership knew exactly what happened to every cent and executed every individual who had a hand in the screw up, would you get the money or reputation or lost membership back? Not just no, but HELL NO! Move forward with the clean slate that you know you have at this moment. I have intentionally stayed out of the NTA for a few years because I was sick of watching money be wasted on Accountants and Attorneys. Lawyers just love a fight that never ends.

 

Grand Larceny. $161,000. is missing. That is provable. I was not on the board.

$9400. that cannot be proved, other than what Detective Thibodeau says the Prosecutor will throw out due to no names attached and zero legal proof. He says its falsified records on the $9400.

Rick I was elected to protect the members and their investment. a few members like you now say let it go.
If I do let it go, I am not filling my fiduciary responsibility as charge within the Laws and regs of the IRS.

If this is to be dropped, the guilty parties and the parties in charge need to drop their idea of going back to the divorce court as one said at Gatlinberg.

Tim makes allegations of wrong doing and how much the Crains got. Well thats all in the records, the NTA paid the attorneys look at the financial statements. My wife forwarded all of those to Tim stayed up till midnight doing this when in fact it could have waited until the end of the month. He could have then got exactly what he got, hell he was not even a board member at the time.

See Tim has twisted and lied and continues to doing so to hide what I have been proving now you have a photo. of when part of the money disappeared and Hell ****ing no I was not on the board then!!

 

John I agree that the money is missing. So why did you let them walk? The agreement you people signed made going after it null and void. You closed the case. Not us.

There was an offer on the table to go after it. Much money and time was invested to make the case. The former administration ignored the offer and settled out of court.

It's a mute point now. I truly wish it wasn't, but it is.

Time to move on. Perhaps someone got away with the perfect crime, but what can be done about it now? Nothing.

If nothing else, trust this: Don't you think that after spending the amount of time and money that Fred, Harry, and myself spent on this that if there was a way to recover that we would not be pursuing it? Of course we would. There is nothing in this world we would like better than to be able to sue their asses for every penny they took, but those of you who signed that agreement made that impossible. So now, WHO has the best interest of the NTA in mind?

 

No one in their right mind would voluntarily bring in the IRS!They are never there to do any favors.For instance if they do find that there is 130 k missing in income the only thing they would be worried about is whether the Association reported and paid taxes on that income.by asking them in the Association could be opening themselves up to being fined and opening up all involved with the possibility of being audited.

 

I would ask all life and current year members as to what they want, keep pushing for answers or stop and start a new. Case closed after that.

 

Thanks Tim. I echo Rick on all his comments and certainly agree with gab on "inviting" the IRS to do ANYTHING. In case no one can figure that out, the government is NOT here to help you and the last thing needed is to let the wolf into the sheep barn. I like the idea of going forward. That "nice to know" is OK for TV melodrama, but it only uses valuable time that could be better spent on what we're going to have tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear the support for moving forward. Any of you who knows me, know well and good that I will fight till hell freezes over for something that I know to be right. But when one comes to realize that you can not win a fight is it not best to throw in the towel before all is lost? The NTA has had its coffers beaten to a pulp. We are in survival mode now. This coming year is the tale of the tape. If the NTA can not rally now I fear where the NTA is headed. It takes money to run any business. We are trying to keep a business afloat on very weak legs. To engage in another round will certainly be the death of the NTA, even if we would miraculously win, the toll we would take would still be the death of us. The money is just simply not there. It is a shame that justice has a price tag attached to it, but welcome to reality. We can not afford to have a convention, pay judges, provide seminars, give out awards, gather at nice facilities, provide things such as fish fry's and gatherings without that evil thing called MONEY. We could take what money is left and mount some sort of attack, but would we win? That is a hell of a gamble. If we loose, which we probably would at this time, it would mean the end of the NTA. That is not a gamble I am willing to take. This organization was here long before I was. I think respect needs to have it's place for those who came before and gave us an organization such as the NTA. We on this board are here because you the membership placed this in our hands to be the caretakers. To care for something one has to employ good judgment. The only good judgment I can see is to move forward and let the past where it is. I'm grateful to see the support of others who support that decision. We are here to serve each other. I can only serve you when I know what you desire. My job is to carry out the mission as per your desires. I think that already we can see what the wishes of the membership majority is. With that said, we are moving forward from this point on. Mr. Creager, if you desire to champion the fight, I wish you luck, but understand that the NTA will not support that fight with the memberships monies. Enough has been wasted on this already.

 

I have to post this. This will be the last time I will address this. John C, yes, there were names associated with the $9400 that is missing. How can you make statements like you are making when no one even opened up the program. There was ANOTHER $600+- that had John Q Public associated with the deposits in the program. This deposits were credit card sales made at the auction. No one told me who bought what but they gave me the amounts that each item sold for so the amounts were entered under John Q Public. ALL the rest of the missing $9400 HAS a name associated with each entry!! PERIOD!! Now, leave it alone and let it die! There is nothing we can do about it anyway!!

 

Harry, prove that there are names associated with it. I have been told for the past two years that there were not any names. even you told me this. So come clean and prove it.


I swear noone will goive a straight answer, why is this every one of the elet4ed four board members keep playing games.

So here is your challenge, you claim you have names associated with the money, turn that so called theft over to the Baton rouge Police and get with the job of prosecuting the thief.

Its really easy to prove who had access to that money.

You know when the money disappeared if it was ever there. So who of about six or eight people then took the money. You even said to me it never made it to the bank. Credit cards are easy to trace.

Tim says it was given to the Crains, well then that narrows it down to who would have done that to a couple people.

So its either the elite four of the board are pumping crap or telling lies. So which is it??

If you will turn this over to the police in Baton Rouge and get charges filed, I will quit the bitching. I have tried to get something done and I come to the conclusion the turd burglar is running the NTA.

 

Tim you really are a total idiot. I did not let anyone walk. One of your heros let them walk, he had a 1/3 vote in the agreement. but you are so busy blowing smoke up his rear end.
Get your suck butt buddy to show you his part of the agreement, he has a copy. I don't even though the board was named in the suit. I was allowed to look at it for five minutes and that was it. I did not vote to approve the agreement.

I now wonder this. Maybe the NTA was better off in the hands of the other people.

Why is no one willing to tell the truth to include you elite four or five??

Still no announcement of board meetings etc. no treasurers reports, violations of bylaws. Yep you guys are throwing crap and anyone who believes you guys are blind as a bat.
