Tanning a porcupine

Discussion in 'Tanning' started by MichaudTaxidermy, Oct 22, 2015.

  1. Does anyone know of ways to tan porcupines other than Krowtann and similar methods? Are there any tanneries that accept them?

ya there very easy to tan just have to watch the quills. I pickle them and tan them with EZ-100

  3. Wildlife Gallery takes them.

I wear leather gloves and the quills are laid down. Their not as hard as you would think.
The thing is the quills are very wet and they are a little softer so they don't break as you may think.
