Skin wrinkles

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by charlieaf79, Nov 2, 2015.

  1. What's the key to good skin wrinkles in deer shoulder mounts? Is it tough to keep the hair laying right and not looking like a disaster? Is it better to do with short hair vs long hair cape?

The key is only recreating them where they belong and only if they would show naturally. You can create them by using clay or sanding them into the form or a combination of both.

  3. mix hide paste and vermiculite.

On longer haired deer the wrinkles will be less noticeable and trying to make them more is where the disaster comes into play.
