Attaching ram skull to form question....

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by Mthunter, Mar 22, 2016.

  1. First few goat/sheep I have to do (Corsican and Catilina). I have followed Ron C's write up in the tutorial section but have this question to you all and or Ron. Should I cut the skull to match the form or cut the form to match up with the eye sockets on the skull? Reason for the question as there does not seem to be much skull plate left if I go that route......thanks for any advice. See pics below......

Cut the form, the more skull plate the better

  3. You will cut both on that one to make it fit. You only need a small amount of the eye ring as this is only to set the eye at the correct distance from the horn. With that much eye ring the cap will be sitting to high after you remove the foam that far forward. Cut foam when you can and bone when your forced to. Saves time. Good luck
