So a friend wants me to fix his first fish he caught many years ago . He thinks its a grey snapper . it appears to be some sort of snapper , what is your thoughts ?

I have looked all over to include here for a paint schedule for a grey snapper and not able to find one . Anyone here have one they might part with ? Thanks for any help .

The mouth is not of a snapper per say but more of what is called a hog nose snapper. Yet the colors don't match up to that either lol. http://www.mexfish.com/mexico/wp-content/uploads/F130-Gray-Snapper.jpg and yet this pic od a grey snapper and others don't look like that. Hmm not sure what it really was or it.

Never saw a grey one, this is the ones I have always seen. The whole snoot is i cartlidge but can very easily be thinned and made into a great non bleeding mount.

I googled hog snapper and this picture came up. I think its mountable.

  10. Looks like a typical hogfish.....although the color is all wrong. Definitely not a grey snapper. Someone was confused......

If it's a Walmart snapper it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it's cheap!

    Ha Ha ! Thanks !

  13. I think John C is right, totally mountable! I wish I had more of those to mount, heck I'd even do a few for free!

  14. Lets clear things up. its not a snapper. its a white grunt.

Plain old everyday grunt. Why is everyone saying hogfish? does not even look close.
