Elephant Tusk Bases

    Just did my first set of Elephant tusk, custom made mesquite bases. I think they turned out very nice.

    I hope your customer was OK with cutting the bottoms off?

    Jerry, it was the easiest way to balance them without spending a crappot full of money on holders, and since u don't know me, I won't get to mad about your comment.I would not have cut them without his permission, and that answers your question , now my question to u is, why do u recommend cutting the bottoms in previous post? I got the idea from u guys on here, I'm sure the holders would be a much easier way to mount them and gave my customer the option, and we settled on this. I will probably wrap the bottoms with some elephant hide though, might make a better appearance? Whatcha think Jerry?
