Excellent perch Tim! I appreciate the depth to your paint job. Many reproduction perch just look flat to me . Yours never do .

Messed around with a slightly altered molding technique for a swimming crayfish. I also set a timer for 10 minutes to see what sort of paint job I could come up with.

Is that rainbow a mount, Mike? It sure looks like a live fish to me. I don't think this thread is for sharing pictures of live fish that we have caught.

 

Whoh, Mike K. I think thats a hybrid bottlebow trout, very rare.

 

My third time painting a fish... Customer wanted it skin mounted so someone else mounted it and I did the finish.... I'm not a fish person but I enjoy learning. It is a 53lb striper from Cordell Hull lake in TN.

 

How long is that striped bass?

 

I can't remember. I know he said it took the biggest form Mckenzie carries. Again I just painted it so I never thought to check. I do know it weighed 53lbs.

 

Well, it's close right?! This was painted using some of the techniques used in Rick Krane's early Rainbow Trout reproduction dvd.

That carp looks amazing.I'd love to have that hanging in my house.
