Light Colored Brown Trout

    I have been seeing this fish for a few weeks before I finally caught it.It always looked lighter underwater than the rest.12 1/4" fish.Fresh out of the water.

    So paint it like you think it should be, off a good reference photo. That is what we fish taxidermists do………..BTW not a bad photo.

    The real uniqueness of that fish is the lack of spots

    It's a female. They tend to have fewer spots anyway.

    It's amazing the variation of spot patterns and colors of brown trout even in the same strain. Of course it doesn't help that there was no regard for breeding within strains and types when they were first introduced to this country.

    Hey Cecil……..this is the USA……….there has never been any restrictions on breeding between types. But wait, Donald may change that. LOL
