I'm new at taxidermy and started working with wood ducks and was wandering if there was a tip to pull out feathers and position them the right way. Also how they keep the mullet from falling straight down and how to puff it up. Any tip or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Taxidermy Training unlimited has a DVD on wood ducks that is outstanding and would answer many of your questions.

It all has to be positioned with the skin, not pulling out feathers. The head feathers or broom will stand naturally with a clean defatted and degreased skin and feathers.
