Mostly new to taxidermy and was wondering if there was any chemicals that bring out the feather coloring and how to position them correctly. Tip and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

You should really invest in a quality dvd. You don't want to put chemicals on your feathers.

Consider doing an easier bird first. A pheasant comes to mind. Most of our first birds don't turn out the best and we later regret using a bird that may have sentimental value to us. Some of us have kept our first birds as a reminder to where we came from. Mine have ended up in the trash. :) Take care and post more questions if you have them. Don't get frustrated with the slow response stream to your queries. Some of us get frustrated with the "same" questions over and over again. Later if you stick with it, many of the seasoned taxis will gladly field your questions via a PM or phone call and you may make some great friends too. There are a lot of awesome and talented people out there.
