A to Z Bird seminar with Fred Barilla and Steve Hackett, Cromwell, CT

    Cost is $400 and includes lunch

    Come spend the day with award winning taxidermists, Fred Barilla and Steve Hackett for a relaxing, information-packed, live seminar that will cover the following:

    8:00 - 12:00noon:

    field/shop care
    skinning, fleshing, washing, drying and preserving
    neck, body and leg setup
    attachment points
    choosing the proper materials for setup

    12:00 - 1:00pm: Lunch will be provided

    1:00pm - 4:00: Steve and I will take you through the mounting process of both a waterfowl and upland game bird utilizing the techniques and setup previously discussed. This will be a relaxed mounting session, allowing for limited hands on participation and ample time for questions and answers to shake loose some of the "sticking points" of creating a truly lifelike mount for commercial work as well as the competition room.
