Removing Ibex horns (I already tried to bag/sweat them off)

Discussion in 'Beginners' started by 126whitetail, Nov 14, 2016.

  1. I have some ibex horns that I need to remove from the skull. As I read in several places on the forum I added very little water in a thick trash bag and let them set in a warm place.

After a week and half I tried to pull them off (even using a tree and a four wheeler, I didn't put too much pressure as I didn't want them to break), but no dice. Also, they have some white mold on them now.

Should I just try to boil them like one would an antelope?

    Thank You

  2. Yes just simmer them for half hour or so.
